This position will require someone with the ability to efficiently manage their time while working in our CNC lathe department. The perfect candidate will also be self-motivated and enjoy working with a staff of twenty or more team members.
Daily duties in the life of the CNC lathe setup/operator can include:
鈥� Set-up, program, and operate Harrison CNC lathes.
鈥� Ensuring all projects are processed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
鈥� Working closely with the department leads to meet daily throughput requirements.
鈥� Assisting Toolmakers and machinists with projects to ensure their successful completion.
鈥� Responsible for the overall maintenance of equipment and special projects as needed.
鈥� Maintaining a supportive, productive, and respectful working environment through professional conduct and effective communication with internal and external customers, coworkers, and vendors.
鈥� Upholding Tool Specialties safety culture by participating in job safety training and following all plant rules and work procedures.
鈥� Work within a mature ISO 9001-2015 quality management system.
Some achievements we鈥檙e looking for:
鈥� Prior CNC lathe operation and or setup.
鈥� Technical school with a Precision Machining degree/certificate.
鈥� Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime and/or weekends.
鈥� Experience fabricating parts for metal stamping dies or a broad knowledge of metalworking/metal stamping industry.
鈥� Ability to understand and utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
鈥� Strong fundamental math and hands-on problem-solving skills.
